Introduction:

Much of what we love in a sport is what it recalls to us about ourselves at our earliest. Baseball is a lifetime sport. For the player who enjoys playing for the love of the game, being the best player they can be has many rewards. Canadians make good athletes! Better coaching and training will afford more of Canada's youth an opportunity to get the most out of baseball. Not only from a recreational level   also by scholarship opportunities and professional baseball contracts.

This manual will aid those who want to get the most out of their baseball experience. By providing the reader with an opportunity to strip away the mysteries involved with playing and coaching baseball.

Being the father of two boys who love playing the game was enough to motivate me on a journey for knowledge and insight into this wonderful game called "baseball." As a father, coach and league executive, I did everything I could to help my sons get the most out of their own "baseball experience."

About The Structure Of This Manual

This manual will help stoke the fire of genius with information about baseball. The athlete may use this manual to become familiar with developing their own skills and to understand the basic principles of the game.  For the sport participant, gaining self esteem through learning and practice, can bring their skills to bear.  By focusing to perform the way they want to.

By following a sequential order, this manual deals with elements relating to all aspects of the game of baseball. Section 100 deals with matters to be considered to help understand the challenges and rewards of playing and coaching baseball at the youth level. Sections 200 to 700 discuss the preparation and skill development required for participants.
Some subject matter relates to different age groups as follows:
"Lower"- 10 and under
"Middle"- 11, 12 and 13 year olds
"Upper"- 14 years old and up

medical approval should be obtained.
