There are limits on registration numbers in each category so register early.

Rep Baseball - OBA and MBA
CLP recognizes that there are opportunities to develop players at different levels.  The OBA and MBA provide the opportunity for our more advanced players to participate at higher and more competitive levels without detracting from the fundamental objective of skills development.

The two programs are very similar with some minor differences.  The OBA plays in a Central Ontario Baseball Association loop, which comprises Mississauga and the neighbouring municipalities.  Playoffs in August provide potential opportunities to play in provincial and (in some age groups) national championships.  The MBA competition also is ground for excellent baseball with the competition contained to with Mississauga only.  Both programs work on basically a 2-game, 1-2 practice(s) a week schedule from May to August.  At both levels, teams may participate in weekend tournaments.

Players are selected based on try-outs held by coaches who will be required to be certified by the national coaching body - NCCP.  A Code of Conduct is in place for all coaches.  This Code deals with many topical issues, which are important to a community based organization, including, equal opportunity for all players, fairness, ethics and morals.

Rep baseball is a pleasurable experience for a young player and as they are challenged will provide a basis for learning, personal growth and a forum for having fund.

A-Loop

At Mosquito, players wishing to play on our A-Loop teams play in leagues orgainzed and run by CLP at local parks.  At Peewee and Bantam, we enrol our teams in the MBA's, "A" level competition.  Games are played at parks throughout Mississauga and MBA rules apply.
